Elaine E. Hartwell (nee Hoffmann) of Waukesha, formerly of Milwaukee, died Friday, Dec. 31, 2010, at the age of 95. She was born Jan. 29, 1915, in Milwaukee, the daughter of Theodore and Helen (nee Hobus) Hoffmann.

Elaine enjoyed playing cards with friends at Willow Park, where she was a resident. She was a member of Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church in Waukesha.
Elaine was preceded in death by her husband, George A. Hartwell, and her brother, Norman Hoffmann.

She is survived by her children, Karen (the late Richard) Hawker, Dr. Bruce G. Hartwell and Jered D. (Julie) Hartwell; grandchildren, Tracy A. Garvens (Tom) Rogers, Lisa (Scott) Ambrowiak, Kristi D. (Rus) Wallace, Jered A. (Crystal) Hartwell and Jean Marie (Steve) Dziekan; greatgrandchildren, Shannon, Monica and Erica Ambrowiak, Casey and Colby Wallace, Madeline and Cade Dziekan, and Hailey and Ashley Jade Hartwell; and sister, Marcia Underberg.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
