Penny
L. Ripani, 51, of Oshkosh, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2011, at
Hospice of Cherry Meadows after a long and courageous battle with
pancreatic cancer.
Penny was born in Waukesha to Domenic and the late Jean Ripani. She
graduated from Waukesha South High School in 1977 and received an
associate’s degree in arts from the University of Wisconsin-Waukesha.
She is lovingly survived by her longtime companion, Russell Jensen of
Oshkosh, who cared for her until her death. She is further survived by
her sisters, Donna Kuchler (Gerard) of Waukesha and Dr. Linda (Paul)
Welniak of Shorewood; her brother, Lawrence Ripani of Waukesha; a
daughter, Jolene Hollenberger; and a grandson, Sammy. Penny will be
deeply missed by her nieces and nephews, Anthony Cotton, Andrew Cotton,
Natalie Cotton, Bob Welniak, Marilyn Welniak and Raelene Ripani. She is
further survived by many aunts, uncles and more than 40 cousins.
Penny will be remembered for her great love of music, wonderful piano
playing and her kind heart. She was a caregiver to many during her life.
Inurnment will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 21, at Prairie Home
Cemetery, 605 S. Prairie Ave., Waukesha.
