Paul G. Trupke
Oct. 16, 1926 – Jan. 10, 2011
Paul G. Trupke, a lifelong Waukesha County resident, died Monday, Jan.
10, 2011, at Seasons Hospice at the age of 84. He was born Oct. 16,
1926, in the Town of Genesee, the son of Paul A. and Elsie (nee Olson)
Trupke. He was a 1944 graduate of Waukesha High School and a 1951
graduate of Carroll College and proudly served his country in the U.S.
Army. On Aug. 16, 1947, he married Ann (nee Chapman) Trupke in Eagle.
Paul was employed at Hein Werner for 40 years. He was a faithful member
of First United Methodist Church, where he enjoyed singing with the
choir. Paul and Ann were members of the Spring City Square Dance Club,
where they enjoyed dancing and making many friends. As a man of great
patience, he loved woodworking, antique furniture restoration and
furniture caning and golf. During retirement, he enjoyed working part
time at Federated Motors.
He will be sadly missed by his wife, Ann of Waukesha, along with their
children, Jane M. (Theodore) Frieder of Merton, Mary Beth Howick of
Madison and Thomas H. (Wendy) Trupke of Genesee Depot. He was the dear
grandfather of Caralyn and Andrew Frieder, Virginia Howick and Allison
and Paul Trupke. He is further survived by his sisters, Jean Hoffmann of
Sun Prairie and Mary Nell Laurie of Bigelow, Ark., and other relatives
and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Paul F.
Trupke.
Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. until the 4 p.m. memorial service
Thursday, Jan. 13, at First United Methodist Church, 121 Wisconsin Ave.,
Waukesha, WI 53186.
