Marie P. Hendrickson
On Monday, Jan. 10, 2011, heaven’s gates opened for Marie P.
Marie was a lifelong resident of Waukesha and was employed by Head Start
of Waukesha for nearly three decades. She loved her position at Head
Start and for years would see her former students and she would smile
brightly when she would hear “Hello, Miss Ree.” Her greatest gift in
life would be her gift of eternal life when, at the tender age of 23,
she accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior. Marie’s legacy to her
children would be just that: the gift of knowing and loving the Lord.
The beloved mother of six, she is survived by Bonnie (Lloyd) Gordon of
Delafield, Donna (Philip) Lundberg of Rhinelander, Paula Janicsek of
Arizona, Clarence (Sharon) Hendrickson of Pembine, Gina (Mike) White of
Hartland and Ron (Heidi) Hendrickson of Lannon. She was a devoted
grandmother to Lloyd Gordon Jr., Jodi (Dan) Schoct, Nicole (Todd)
Schrieber, Jason (Jenny) Janicsek, Melissa Hendrickson, Angela
Hendrickson, Mike (Eve) White, Patrick (Edie) White, Sarah (Joe)
Lauerman, Jake, Ryan and Lyle Hendrickson, Matthew, Austin and Jake
White, Samuel Lauerman, Katie White and Gwendolyn Lauerman. She was a
blessed great-grandmother to Jake and Alicia Aabye of Ashland, Alyssa,
Bryce and Payton Janicsek, Brandon, Aveonna and Marissa Hendrickson and
Garrett Schrieber. Marie is further survived by her brother, Daniel
Bergles of Washington, and many dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Maude Bergles, formerly of
Waukesha; and a sister, Ruth M. Cerroni, formerly of Sun City, Ariz.
We all are so blessed to have had her in our lives.
Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until the 7 p.m. funeral service
