Betty M. Pfau
Betty M. Pfau,
90, of Waukesha, formerly of Canton, Ohio, passed away Monday, Jan. 10,
2011, at Waukesha Memorial Hospital.
She was born in Canton, a daughter of the late Edwin and
Nellie Crites Oberlin, and was a resident most of her life until moving to
Waukesha six years ago. Betty was a 1938 graduate of McKinley High School.
She was a secretary at Loren Souers Junior High School for many years and
also had been a legal secretary for attorney Virgil Hinton. Betty was a
longtime member of Calvary Presbyterian Church, and also a member of North
Canton Elks Lodge No. 2029 and The Rose Society.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, L.V. "Bud" Pfau, on Feb. 18, 2001; and a son, Paul Pfau, on July
23, 1992.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Rick and
Judy Pfau of Waukesha four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren:
Susan Pfau and her children, Kyra and Jaden; Brian (Tracy) Pfau and their
children, Nathan, Izaac, and Addison; Steven (Magali) Pfau and their son,
Ayden; and Justin (Jaimi) Pfau and their children, Colton and Carter. She
is further survived by her cousin, Jean Streit of Canton.
Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday,
Jan. 21, at the Formet-Clevenger & Gordon Funeral Home, 1803 Cleveland
Avenue NW, Canton, Ohio. Services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m.
Saturday, Jan. 22, at the funeral home with Rev. Jerry Snyder officiating.
Interment will be at Sunset Hills Burial Park.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Betty’s memory
may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Association.
