Ingebor A. Colby

Ingebor A. Colby, 92, of Division Street in Delafield, died Sunday, Jan. 23, 2011, at Waukesha Springs Health and Rehabilitation Center, Waukesha.

Ingebor was born April 1, 1918, to John and Tomine (Haug) Tveit in Wisconsin. She married John L. Colby on May 10, 1952, in DeForest. She was known for her love of family. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was also known for her baking and her coffee and doughnut groups. Ingebor is survived by her two children, Richard (Terrie) Colby of Delafield and Lloyd (Beverly) Colby of Mukwonago; her five grandchildren, Nicole, Michelle (Jacob), Matthew (Nicole), Trisha (Matt) and Katrina; and two great-grandchildren, Mia and Colton. She is further survived by other relatives and many good friends.

Ingebor was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John, in 2006; and her four brothers and her three sisters.

Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until the 7 p.m. funeral service Thursday, Jan. 27, at Mount Calvary Lutheran Church, 1941 Madison St., Waukesha, with the Rev. Michael Turriff officiating. Burial will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 28, (meeting at the gates) at Arlington Park Cemetery, 4141 S. 27th St., Greenfield.

Memorial contributions are suggested to Mount Calvary Lutheran Church.
