Roger N. Bensing

May 27, 1936 – July 19, 2011
 

Roger N. Bensing, age 75, of Waukesha entered peacefully into eternal life July 19, 2011, after a courageous battle with cancer surrounded by his loving family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Cornelius and Adele Bensing, and two stepsons, Scott and Steven. He was the best friend and loving husband of 45 years to Gail (nee Reynolds) and loving father of Sheryl (Randy) Young. He was the proud grandpa of Troy and Jakab. He was the twin brother of Ronald and the brother of Judie Pieper. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends.

Visitation will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Fox River Congregational Church, N34-W23575 Capitol Drive, City of Pewaukee, followed by a 12 noon service with the Rev. Lonnie Richardson officiating. Interment will be at Prairie Home Cemetery.

While working at 16 pumping gas at Crites Field, Roger earned his first airplane from Dale Crites and became a lifelong pilot. He later became one of the oldest members of the Waukesha Aviation Club. He also enjoyed being a founding member of the Wisconsin Skydiving Club.

When Roger wasn’t flying, he and his wife, Gail, owned and operated the Bensing Alarm and Answering Service in Waukesha until his retirement in 1986.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to AngelsGrace Hospice in Oconomowoc or The Fox River Congregational Church are appreciated.
