Paul Alexander Maenner

Paul Alexander Maenner, born June 21, 1932, in Eau Claire to John and Josephine Maenner, died Tuesday, July 19, 2011, in Fairfax, Va.

He received his masterís degree in history from the University of Iowa. He was an administrator for the Department of Corrections in Wisconsin, co-founder of the Racine-Kenosha Chapter of Big Brothers-Big Sisters, coordinator for 10 years along with his wife, Patricia, of Loaves & Fishes in Waukesha, a longtime officer of Branch 2 of the Early Day Gas Engine and Tractor Association (Sussex) and, in retirement, an interpreter extraordinaire at Old World Wisconsin.

He is survived by his sons, Paul Frederick of Vienna, Va., and Eliot Alexander of Bethesda, Md.; daughter-in-law, Federica Fiorillo of Florence, Italy, and Bethesda; grandson, Francesco of Bethesda; and his wife, Patricia.
