Beatrice M. FlukeMay 30, 1916 – July 25, 2011
Beatrice M. Fluke of Waukesha died Monday, July
25, 2011, at Waukesha Memorial Hospital at the age of 95. She was born May
30, 1916, in Elmwood, the daughter of William and Bertha (nee Smith) Webb.
On May 26, 1939, she married Robert
"Stanley" Fluke, who preceded her in death Feb. 16, 1986.
Beatrice was an avid reader and, in her earlier years, taught in many
one-room schools in Wisconsin. For 31 years she worked at Zillmer’s
Office Supply. She was a longtime, faithful member of First Baptist Church
for 71 years, where she taught Sunday school and served on various
committees.
She will be sadly missed by her daughters, Sandra
Fluke of Kenosha and Teryl Fluke of Racine; her nieces, Betty (Paul) Gibbs
and Cathy (Ray) Prochazka; and her nephew, Donald Webb. She is further
survived by other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in
death by her brothers and sister, Derby Webb, James K. (Mae) Webb, Russell
(Norma) Webb and Marion (Paul) Catura.
Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until the 7
p.m. funeral service Monday, Aug. 1, at First Baptist Church, 247
Wisconsin Ave., Waukesha, WI 53186. The Rev. Jim Carlson will preside.
Private family graveside services will be held
Tuesday at Prairie Home Cemetery.
