Ruth G. Baumann
Ruth
G. Baumann, a lifelong resident of Waukesha, died Sunday, May 29, 2011,
at The Gables of Germantown at the age of 90. She was born Aug. 16,
1920, the daughter of Otto and Elsie (Jens) Gygax.
Ruth married Herbert Baumann on June 17, 1944, in Waukesha. She was a
longtime member of the Evangelical & Reformed United Church of Christ
and retired from Waukesha Engine after many years of dedicated service.
She and her husband, Herbert, owned and operated the Baumann Orchards
for many years, where they raised and sold produce, apples and apple
cider.
Ruth will be dearly missed by her son, the Rev. Donald E. (Margaret)
Baumann of Wausau; her daughter, Donna (Tim) Leberman of Menomonee
Falls; grandchildren, Kari (John) Schultz of Stevens Point, Kelly
(Michael) Iaffaldano of Wausau and Amber Leberman of Elmhurst, Ill.; and
great-grandchildren, J.D. and Olivia Schultz and Anthony and Alison Ruth
Iaffaldano.
Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert, on Feb. 9, 2005; her
sister, Viola Greenwald; and her brother, Roy Gygax.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral service
Saturday, June 4, at the Evangelical & Reformed United Church of Christ,
413 Wisconsin Ave., Waukesha. The Rev. Ralph Schultz will officiate.
Interment will immediately follow the service at Prairie Home Cemetery,
Waukesha.
