John M. Ristow

John M. Ristow of Pewaukee was born to eternal life Thursday, June 2, 2011, at the age of 70, with his wife of 47 years, Judie (nee Hausmann), at his side.

He was the loving father of Sue (Jim) Putnam and Barbara "BLR III" (Christopher) Hennessy; dearest son of Elizabeth (nee Jekel) Ristow; fond brother of Carolyn (Richard) OíNeill, Robert Ristow, Merry Ristow and Paul (Sharon) Ristow; proud grandfather of Jake, Katie and Nicholas Putnam, and Lillian and Eloise Hennessy; dear brother-in-law of James (Susan) Hausmann; and the faithful companion of Cracker Jack. He is further survived by other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Martin, and sister, Betty Ristow.

John was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in Vietnam. He worked for H.J. Pertzborn for more than 29 years as a project manager.

Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, June 5, at Yonke & Son Funeral Home, 205 Prospect Ave., Pewaukee. Visitation continues from 9 a.m. until the 10 a.m. funeral service Monday, June 6, at Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, W240-N3103 Pewaukee Road, Pewaukee (Highway 164, south of Capitol Drive). Interment will follow, with military honors at Forest Hill Cemetery, Pewaukee.
