Edwin Schilberg, 82, of Oconomowoc, passed away Thursday, June 2, 2011, at
the Aurora Medical Center in Summit.
LeRoy was born in Summit on June 16, 1928. On July 26,
1947, he married the former Betty Kohls at St. Mark’s Evangelical
Lutheran Church in Watertown. He was an electrician for 31 years and was a
member of Electrical Union No. 494 in Milwaukee. LeRoy was also a member
of St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church in Oconomowoc, where he was very
active, serving as an usher, a trustee and helping with the maintenance of
the church. He enjoyed playing cards.|
Survivors include his wife, Betty Schilberg of
Oconomowoc; his five children, Larry (Bobbi) Schilberg, Sharon (Carl)
Beyer, Debra (Tim) King and Tammy Lindemann, all of Watertown, and Brenda
(Duane) Scherret of Reesevile; 12 grandchildren, Shaun (Andrea Watson)
Schilberg, Terri Schilberg, Robin Beyer, Christopher Beyer, Brad (Emily
Cunningham) Zoellick, Jodi Zoellick, Jennifer (Tim) Sommers, Mike (Jes)
Lindemann, Kelly Lindemann, Sara Lindemann, Whitney Scherret and Nathaniel
Scherret; two step grandchildren, CaTrina (Chris) Schwandt and John King;
six great grandchildren, Mariah Beyer, Cole Zoellick, Sierra Schilberg,
Kaden Sommers, Carson Lindemann and Nolan Sommers; and three step-great-grandchildren,
Alexia, Logan and Gavin Schwandt. LeRoy was the last member of his
immediate family, being preceded in death by his mother, Leona (Block)
Schilberg; a grandmother; a brother, Marvin Schilberg; and a sister, Ruth
Buske.
Visitation will be held from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday,
June 5, at Hafemeister Funeral Home, 611 E. Main St., Watertown.
Visitation continues from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m.

Monday, June 6, at St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church in Oconomowoc, with the
Rev. Daniel R. Schmidt officiating. Burial will be in Glenview Memorial
Gardens in Ixonia.
