Frida Bollmann of Waukesha, born Sept. 25, 1902, in Aastrup, Denmark, passed away Saturday, June 4, 2011 at LindenGrove in Waukesha.
Frida worked for many years as a housekeeper at Moor Mud Bath Hotel and Spa and the Avalon Hotel. She enjoyed riding her bicycle until she was 95. Frida loved flowers - she had a green thumb and could get anything to grow.
Frida is survived by her nieces, Ruth (Donald) Sheskey of Waukesha, Betty Kmeber of Albuqerque, N.M., and Lori Olson of Waukesha, and nephews, Tom Sheskey of Waukesha and Kim Sheskey of Brandon. She is further survived by other nieces and nephews in Denmark.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Andreas, her parents, three brothers and two sisters.
Frida was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Waukesha.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral service Wednesday, June 8, at Church and Chapel Funeral Home, 380 Bluemound Road (at highways J and JJ, four blocks south of Interstate 94), Waukesha, with the Rev. Larry Smith of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church officiating. Interment to follow at Prairie Home Cemetery.
