Tony Lee Dake of Milwaukee, formerly of Waukesha, died Saturday, June 11, 2011, at the age of 39. Tony was born Oct. 19, 1971, in Albany, Ga.

Tony enjoyed working with his hands and was a carpenter in the building trades since he graduated from Waukesha South High School in 1991. He enjoyed playing video games, working with computers, watching documentaries and eating a good meal cooked by his mom (chicken and dumplings and chocolate pie were his favorite). He had a great sense of humor and enjoyed a good practical joke.

He is survived by his only son, Alexander, whose birth "was the best thing that happened in my life." He is also survived by his parents, Betty and Paul Aarestad, Owen Dake and Rita Bibeau; his siblings, Tami (Ed) McCullough, Tim (LeAnn) Aarestad, Paul (Debbie) Aarestad, Paulette (Craig) Mottl and Laura (Rich) DeRuiter; his special friend, Cynthia Baumgartner; and aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and other close friends and family.

Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until the 7 p.m. funeral service Thursday, June 16, at Church and Chapel Funeral Home, 380 Bluemound Road (at highways J and JJ, four blocks south of Interstate 94), Waukesha. Private interment will be held at Prairie Home Cemetery, Waukesha.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to Tony’s son, Alex, are appreciated.
