Diane B. Fisher
Nov. 19 1951- June 12, 2011
Diane B. Fisher (nee Hanson), 58, of Waukesha, passed away quietly Sunday, June 12, 2011.
Diane will be forever missed by her family and friends. She was a devoted wife, magnificent mother, sister, grandmother and genuine giving spirit.
Diane had a wonderful childhood, and loved her parents and siblings very much. As she grew up, Diane met Bob and they became high school sweethearts who later married and spent the last 38 amazing years together, during which they had Krysta and Marc.
Diane and Bob defined for all around them how important family is, no matter what. Diane worked at Wisconsin Bell, now AT&T, for almost 40 years. In that time, she made many lasting friendships, which she cherished. CWA Local 4603 also saw many years of time that Diane dedicated to working for her fellow union brothers and sisters.
Diane was a very caring, generous, encouraging, loving friend to so many people. Diane loved and treasured her grandchildren and enjoyed spending her time with them as much as possible. She was surrounded by her loved ones and her friends in her last days before she peacefully passed. Diane said she was truly grateful to all she knew and loved and that she had a wonderful life.
Diane is survived by her husband, Robert, daughter Krysta and son Marc. Diane is further survived by her grandchildren, Karalynn, Alex, Arielle and Aubree Fisher. She was the loving sister to Mark (Anne) Hanson and Ann Ardyth (David) Rodrigues and a devoted aunt to Jeremy, Joseph and Laura Hanson, as well as Valerie and Benjamin Rodrigues.
Diane was preceded in death by her parents, John and Mary Hanson.
Diane requested that there would not be a funeral or memorial service. She didnﾕt want the ones she knew and loved to be sad. The family will instead have a celebration of life gathering from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday, June 21, at the Rotary Building, 1150 Baxter St., in Waukeshaﾕs Frame Park.
In lieu of flowers, donations should be made to the Food Pantry of Waukesha County.
