Jan. 23, 1925- June 17, 2011
Fred Schilling of Waukesha, born Jan. 23, 1925, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family Friday, June 17, 2011, and began his final journey to heaven to be with Mary, his loving wife of 50 years.
He was the loving father of Michael (Kris) and Alan (Bambi) Schilling; dear grandpa of Jennifer (James) Connelly and Amy Lagunero; and proud great-grandpa of Abby and Joey Connelly and Jasmine Lagunero. He is further survived by a brother, Claude (the late Joan); a sister, Carol (Eric) Freisleben; and other relatives and friends.
Fred served in the U.S. Navy in the 1940s. By trade, he was a carpenter and built numerous homes in the Milwaukee area. In later years, he worked as an expediter, overseeing the construction of various apartment cornplexes and commercial buildings in the Milwaukee and Waukesha area.
Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the 11 a.m. Mass of Christian burial Thursday, June 23, at St. William Catholic Church, 440 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha. Entombment will be at Wisconsin Memorial Park.
The family would like to especially thank the staff at Seasons Hospice for their compassionate care and comfort given to Fred.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. William Catholic Church or Seasons Hospice in Waukesha would be appreclated.
