Carol Ann Curren of Waukesha died Monday, Feb. 28, 2011,
at the age of 72. Carol was born March 4, 1938, the daughter of Hartman
and Harriet Gundrum in Merrick, N.Y.
She married the love of her life, Arthur B. Curren, on
June 22, 1963, in Freeport, N.Y. Carol worked as an executive secretary
for Young & Rubican Advertising Firm on Madison Avenue in New York,
also for Avis Rent a car on Long Island. She enjoyed bowling and was a
member of the Women’s International Bowling Congress. She had a life
membership in PTA, where she served as president for two years in New
York. Carol sold Tupperware for 28 years, starting in 1980, and worked
with the Cub Scouts. She loved spending time with her family and helping
people. Carol was a volunteer for Heartland Health Care Center and the
Make-A-Wish Foundation.
Carol will be sadly missed by her son, Chris A. Curren
of Milwaukee, and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband,
Arthur.
Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until the 2 p.m.
memorial service Friday, March 4, at Wisconsin Memorial Park Family
Center, 12875 W. Capitol Drive, Brookfield. The Rev. Pete Peterson will
officiate. The inurnment will take place privately.
