Frederick C. Hoppe died Thursday, Feb. 24, 2011, at age 77.

He was the loving husband of Elizabeth; proud father of David F. Hoppe, Catherine A. Rittenhouse and Susan (Frank) Barth; stepfather of Jane, Joseph and James (Alethea) Gustavson; dear grandpa of Christie and Jordan Hoppe, Tina, Suzy and Thomas Checkie, and Carolyn and Jacob Barth; brother of Virginia Brown and Brand (Kathy) Hoppe; former husband of Carol Rittenhouse; and beloved son of the late Fritz and Hilda Hoppe. Frederick will be sadly missed by his many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends, and also Mimi.

There will be a memorial service at 3 p.m. Saturday, March 5, at the Milwaukee Friends Meeting House, 3224 N. Gordon Place, Milwaukee. The family will receive friends until 6 p.m.
