Lorraine
J. Okash (nee Onnstead), 92, of Waukesha, formerly of Superior, passed
away, leaving us with beautiful memories, on Thursday, Feb. 24, 2011.
She was born on Dec. 18, 1918, in Superior, to Oscar E.
and Grace (nee Silke) Onnstead.
After graduating high school, she attended Pipestone
Indian School, after which she devoted herself to raising her family and
enjoyed every minute she spent with them.
Lorraine is survived by a daughter, Joanne (Harry) Jascor; two granddaughters, Wendy (Jeff) Zsori and Penny Jascor; two
grandsons, Scott A. Branscombe and Jay Jascor; sister, Florence Gonzales;
and nieces, nephews and many other friends and family. An avid dog lover,
she is also survived by her loyal companion, Eddie.
Lorraine was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Okash; brother, John Onnstead; daughter, Georgianna V. Branscombe; and
son, John Gall.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Oak Hill Terrace
for their kind care and compassion shown to Lorraine during her time
there.
Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Friday, March 4, at the
Downs-LeSage Funeral Home, 1304 Hammond Ave., Superior, and continue until
the 2 p.m. memorial service with the Rev. Fr. Andrew Ricci of Cathedral of
Christ the King Church officiating.
