Florence Schendel of Waukesha died Wednesday, March 2, 2011, at the age of 97. She was born in St. Cloud, Minn., on March 16, 1913. She was a longtime member of First United Methodist Church, Waukesha. She will be sadly missed by her son, Jonathon (Marjorie) Schendel of Springville, Ariz., and her daughter, Pat Staege of Burlington.

She was preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. Chester Schendel, and their son, David.

Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, March 7, at Randle-Dable Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave., Waukesha. Services will continue at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 8, with a memorial service at First United Methodist Church in Waukesha. Burial will take place later in the week at Forest Hill Cemetery in Chippewa Falls.
