John Ernest Hagness
April 14, 1930 – March 2, 2011
In
loving memory of John Ernest Hagness “John Boy.” John was born April 14,
1930, in Eau Claire, a son of Ernest and Beata Hagness.
John was member of Durand High School Class of 1948. John joined the
U.S. Army in 1947. He completed his schooling while in the service.
After his service, John worked with the title of export credit manager
and retired from P&H Mining Equipment of West Milwaukee. John and family
were longtime residents of Waukesha and retired to Orlando in 1980. He
will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
John is survived by Rena “Big R” (nee Ranalli) Hagness, his wife of 59
years; brothers, Leigh Hagness of Durand and Ernest Hagness of Portland,
Texas; his children, Mark Hagness of Orlando, Fla., Michael (Sheri)
Hagness of Orlando, Miles Hagness of Waukesha and Martin (Christin)
Hagness of Sanford Fla.; his sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Hoeft of Florida
and Carol Hagness of Waukesha; five grandchildren; six
great-grandchildren; and many loving nieces and nephews and their
families.
John was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Beata Hagness;
infant sister, Nancy; two brothers, Robert and Roger; two
sisters-in-law, Barbara (Ernie) and Jean (Leigh) Hagness; two
brothers-in-law, Lloyd Ranalli and Arden Hoeft; grandparents and
great-grandparents; and father- and mother-in-law, Paul and Agness
Ranalli.
John will be laid to rest in Bushnell National Cemetery in Florida on
Monday, March 14, with full military honors.
