John
L. Spantikow of Waukesha went to join his son Paul after a long courageous
battle with Parkinson’s disease on Monday, March 7, 2011, at Waukesha
Springs at the age of 75. John was born Sept. 23, 1935, a son of Paul and
Barbara (Lilla) Spantikow in Milwaukee.
John was an avid hunter and fisherman, but more than anything loved
spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
John will be sadly missed by his wife, Darlene; his children, Julie
(Jeffrey) Kreuziger of Genesee and Jeffrey (Diane) of Milwaukee; his
grandchildren, Shaun, Shannon, Brandon, Lori, Amy and Sydney;
great-grandchildren, Taylor and Adriana; sisters, Shirley Kane of
Milwaukee, Jeannette Bailen of Milwaukee and Mary Jane Larson of Shawano;
and other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Paul; and five brothers.
Visitation will be held from 10:30 a.m. until the 12:30 p.m. funeral
service Friday, March 11, at the Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral
Home, 237 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha. The Rev. William Key will
officiate. Burial will immediately follow at Prairie Home Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to the family.
