Conrad W. ‘Corky’ CorcoranDec. 21, 1924 – March 9, 2011
Conrad W. "Corky" Corcoran of Big Bend was born Dec. 21, 1924,
in Winona, Minn., and died Wednesday, March 9, 2011, in Milwaukee, at the
age of 86.
He was the beloved husband of 57 years to Dolores
T. (nee Wisnefske); loving father of Jacqueline (Donny) Nelson, Patricia
Corcoran, Douglas (Maria), Michael, Karen (Joel) Rodriguez and Kevin
(Bridget); dearest grandpa of Shannon, Adam, Joel, Katie, Danny and Andy;
and great-grandpa of Haley and Ascher. He is further survived by his
sisters, Louise (Leo) Heppleman and Bernie (Tim) Krage; sisters-in-law,
Pat Corcoran, Evelyn Kalafarski and Dorothy King; and nieces, nephews,
other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by other brothers and
sisters.
Corky was an active member of American Legion Post
500, the Lions Club of Big Bend/Vernon, the Big Bend Fire Department and
the Knights of Columbus, 3rd Degree. He also served his country during
World War II in the Army Air Corps and was a retiree of Allis-Chalmers.
Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.,
with a 7 p.m. prayer service, on Sunday, March 13, at the Max A. Sass
& Sons Westwood Chapel, W173-S7629 Westwood Drive, Muskego. Visitation
continues from 9 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral Mass on Monday, March 14,
at St. Joseph Catholic Church, S89-W22650 Milwaukee Ave., Big Bend.
Interment will be at Rural Home Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Wisconsin
Lions Camp are appreciated.
