May 3, 1921 – March 5, 2011


Dorothy M. Hartling of Waukesha found eternal peace Saturday, March 5, 2011, at LindenGrove in Waukesha at the age of 89.

Dorothy was born in Sussex on May 3, 1921, the daughter of William and Margaret Spielman.

She was a longtime, active member of Redeemer United Church of Christ, Sussex. Dorothy was also a member of the Waukesha Rose Society, Waukesha County Senior Fair Board, Royal Neighbors of America and The Homemakers Club.

Dorothy is survived by her son, Wayne (Cheryl) Hartling; daughter-in-law, Jeanne Hartling; grandsons, Timothy (Gaby) and Thomas (Krista) Hartling; and great-grandsons, Travis and Mateo. Dorothy is further survived by other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Orville; a son, William; and her parents.

Visitation will be held from 10:30 a.m. until the noon funeral service Saturday, March 12, at the Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha. The Rev. John Helt will be officiating. Burial will be at Sunnyside Cemetery in Lannon.
