Dec. 15, 1939 – March 15, 2011


Ronald F. LaPorte Jr. of Dousman passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, March 15, 2011, at Aurora Medical Center in the Town of Summit.

Ron was born Dec. 15, 1939, the son of Ronald Sr. and Betty (Barker) LaPorte. He was a member of Reformation Evangelical Lutheran Church and a proud member of the NRA. Ron enjoyed collecting World War II memorabilia, working in his koi pond, but his pride and joy were his grandchildren.

He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Karen of Dousman. He was the cherished father of Gerald LaPorte of Dousman, Jeffrey LaPorte of Elkhorn, Randolph LaPorte of Greenfield, Rhonda Gutenberger of Dousman, Renee (Joal) Brinkman of Dousman and Justin (Lori) LaPorte of Adell; dearest grandfather to Scott, Jesse, Kayla, Belle, Dalton, Tyler, Jacob, Nicole, Alexandria Rae, Jackson, Jonathon, Colton, Mason, Alexandria, Shawn, Jayden, Morgan, Lillian and Wyatt; and beloved brother of Melanie (Jeffrey) Stumpe of Milwaukee. Ron was loved and will be remembered by other relatives and many dear friends.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Scott John LaPorte.

Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until the 3 p.m. funeral service Saturday, March 19, at Reformation WELS Lutheran Church, Highway D, Dousman, with the Rev. Wayne Meier officiating.
