Elizabeth "Betty" T. Kau, 91, died Friday, March 18, 2011, at LindenGrove, Waukesha, surrounded by her loving daughters and her husband.
Elizabeth was born Feb. 4, 1920, in Eagle, to John and Katherine (Faestel) Von Rueden. She and George were married Oct. 24, 1942, in Eagle. She was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church, the Wisconsin Farm Bureau and the Republican Party.

She is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, George; her six children, Barbara Kau-Ebert of Milwaukee, Tony Kau of Corpus Christi, Texas, Larry (Elvira) Kau of Jefferson, Kathy (Kim) Woolsey of Oconomowoc, Mary Plaut of Lubbock, Texas, and Peggy (Dave) Skowlund of Mukwonago; 10 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. She is further survived by her sister, Dorothy Kau of Eagle; her sister-in-law, Marie Von Rueden of Thousand Oaks, Calif.; and a host of other family and many good friends.

Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Joseph Von Rueden; and her brother-in-law, Alvin Kau.

Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the 11:30 a.m. Mass of Christian burial Tuesday, March 22, at St. Theresa Catholic Church, 136 Waukesha Road, Eagle, with the Rev. Dennis Ackeret officiating. Burial will be at St. Theresa Catholic Cemetery, Eagle.
