Feb. 21, 1917 – March 19, 2011

Cecilia Anastacia Whittington (nee Wagner), of Mukwonago since 1957, was welcomed home by her Lord and Savior on Saturday, March 19, 2011, at the age of 94. Cecilia was born Feb. 21, 1917, in Hancock, Mich., the daughter of the late Frank and Marie (Petit) Wagner. Cecilia grew up in Piquamy, Mich.

She married James Whittington on Aug. 27, 1949, in Milwaukee. He preceded her in death July 29, 1986. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Marie (Jack) Whitman.

Cecilia was a very active and independent person and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Cecilia was a member of St. James Catholic Church, The Christian Women’s Club and the American Legion Auxiliary No. 375.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. Mass of Christian burial Thursday, March 24, at St. James Catholic Church, 830 Highway NN East, Mukwonago. Entombment will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, March 25, at Pinelawn Memorial Park, 10700 W. Capitol Drive, Milwaukee. Please meet at the office.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to St. James Church or the charity of your choice.
