Dec. 16, 1935 – Feb. 8, 2011

Donald C. "Pops" Hochschild, a resident of Waterford, was born Dec. 16, 1935, and peacefully went to Jesus on Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2011.

Don was preceded in death by his mother and father, Adela and Charles; brothers Aloyusious, William and Elmer; and sister Margaret.

He is survived by two brothers, Albert and Peter. Don is also survived by his companion of many years, Judy Vanantwerp of Waterford (Billy, Mike and Sheri). Don will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his sons, Dale (Kathy) Hochschild, Jon Hochschild and Greg (Aurora) Hochschild. Don was a very proud and loving "grandpa" to Dylan and Hannah Hochschild, Johnny and Falon Hochschild and Genesee Hochschild.

Don was born and raised in Wisconsin, he loved going up to Tomahawk to camp with the sons and grandkids. He worked at Natures Nook in New Berlin from 1964 to 2010 as a foreman and head mechanic. You could always find Don at "The Nook." Don was a quiet man, but everyone loved him. Whatever you needed, he was always there to help, and could always teach you how to fix the car. He was a man of many talents, who will be truly missed.

A memorial service will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, March 25, at Oakwood Church, 3041 Oakwood Road, Hartland.
