Jeannette M. Schossow, 84
Jeannette M. Schossow, 84, of Rubicon, passed away at her home surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, March 23, 2011.
She was born in Ironwood, Mich., on Oct. 18, 1926, the daughter of Edward and Cecelia (nee Jordon) Mueller.
She helped start horse projects for 4H and the Waukesha County Horse Association. Jeannette was a director of Wisconsin 4H Horse Association. She drove school buses in 1968 and later drove for Wisconsin Coach Bus. Jeannette shared her many years of horse experience and passion with "SMILES," a therapeutic riding program in Darien, judging shows and helping with the riders. She was a founding member of Wellspring Community Church. Jeannette volunteered at the Hartford Food Pantry, The Blood Center and Hartford Senior Center.
She is survived by her children, Steve (Jeannie) Saunders of Elkhorn, Lori Saunders of Minnesota and Todd Saunders of Gleason; her step-daughters, Sandra (Edward) Stein of Hartford, Susan (Scott) Shogren of Madison and Sharon (Dale) Johnson of Brookfield; her brother, Dale (Gwen) Mueller of Madison; 13 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and her beloved Wellspring Church family.
Jeannette is preceded in death by her husband Daniel in 2005.
Memorial service will be Saturday, March 26, at 3 p.m. at Wellspring Church. The Rev. Scott Moore will officiate. Family will greet relatives and friends at the Church from 1 p.m. 3 p.m.
