Cheryl
D. Baumgartner, born Oct. 21, 1943, in Waukesha, entered into rest
Tuesday, March 24, 2011. She resided in southeastern Wisconsin until
1971, when she moved to Pembine, and finally resided in Waynesboro, Ga.,
in 2002.
Mrs. Baumgartner graduated Mukwonago High School in 1961 and then
married her high school sweetheart, Andrew Baumgartner, who survives
her.
She was a 4-H Leader, a Lions Club member and a hospital volunteer, to
name a few.
Cheryl’s passions included her grandchildren, quilting, golfing and
gardening.
In addition to her husband Andrew, she is survived by her children,
Terri Layer (husband Brad) and Scott Baumgartner; her grandchildren,
Tristan and Tyler Baumgartner and Austin Layer; her stepgranddaughter,
Tami Smith (husband John). Also surviving are her brothers, Roger King
(wife Donna) and Kenneth King (wife Sharon), and many nieces and
nephews.
Memorial services will be 3 p.m. Sunday, March 27, in the
Joiner-Anderson-Saxon Funeral Home Chapel, 220 E. Sixth St., Waynesboro,
with the Rev. Sam Vernon officiating.
Remembrances maybe made in Cheryl’s name to the American Cancer Society,
250 Williams St., NW Atlanta, GA 30303.
