George G. Kau

George G. Kau, 92, died Saturday, March 26, 2011, at LindenGrove, Waukesha. George was born Sept. 24, 1918, in New Berlin, to Mathais and Gertrude (Casper) Kau.
George and Elizabeth "Betty" (Von Rueden) Kau were married Oct. 24, 1942, in Eagle. He was a member of the Wisconsin Farm Bureau, St. Theresa Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus and the Holy Name Society.
He is survived by six children, Barbara Kau-Ebert of Milwaukee, Tony Kau of Corpus Christi, Texas, Larry (Elvira) Kau of Jefferson, Kathy (Kim) Woolsey of Oconomowoc, Mary Plaut of Lubbock, Texas, and Peggy (Dave) Skowlund of Mukwonago; 10 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. He is further survived by one sister, Marie VonRueden of Thousand Oaks, Calif.; one sister-in-law, Dorothy Kau of Eagle; and a host of other family and many good friends.
George was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Betty Kau; one brother, Alvin Kau; and one brother-in-law, Joseph Von Rueden. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. memorial Mass on Saturday, April 9, at St. Theresa Catholic Church, 136 Waukesha Road, Eagle, with the Rev. Dennis Ackeret officiating.
