Dr. Joseph V. Pucci, a longtime Waukesha optometrist, died peacefully at AngelsGrace Hospice on Wednesday, May 4, 2011, at the age of 77.
Joseph was born Oct. 23, 1933, the son of Gaetano V. and Emily G. (Phillips) Pucci in Waukesha. He married Dorothy (Stevens) on Jan. 15, 2002. Joseph received his doctor of optometry degree at the Illinois College of Optometry, Chicago. He attended Waukesha High School and Marquette University, Milwaukee, before beginning his professional studies. Since 1957, Dr. Pucci practiced in Waukesha, where he has treated thousands of area residents, eventually serving three generations of many families. During his nearly 50 years of practice, the advances in optometry were many. A lifetime of serving patients has left him with no regrets. Joseph enjoyed golfing, fishing and playing black jack.
