Harvey Walter Christianson was born in Mukwonago to Harvey and Lillian (nee Thiesenhusen) Christianson on May 26, 1944, and died suddenly Friday, May 13, 2011, in Clyde, N.C., at the age of 66.

He was a 1963 graduate of Mukwonago High School and retired in 2000 after 37 years as a machinist at Wisconsin Centrifugal in Waukesha. He then went to work at Westwood Health and Fitness Center in Pewaukee, where he again retired in 2007 to move with his loving wife to the beautiful and peaceful Smokey Mountains of North Carolina. He enjoyed almost four years of living in the quiet, beautiful and peaceful mountain community of Clyde, N.C.

He was a veteran and proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force from 1965 to 1969.

He is survived by his loving wife of almost 40 years, Judy (nee Rodden). He was the loving father of Eric Christianson of Eau Claire; proud grandpa to Gavin Tallman-Christianson of Arpin; loving brother to Michael (Judith) Christianson of Waukesha and Sandra Secora of Waukesha; and the loving brother-in-law of Patrick (Laurel) Rodden of Pewaukee, John (Vicki) Rodden of Slidell, La., and Elizabeth (Andrew) Arriowood of Raleigh, N.C. He is also survived by his favorite mother-in-law, Marie Rodden of Raleigh, and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Harvey; mother, Lillian; brother, Kevin; father-in-law, John Rodden Sr.; and brother-in-law, James Rodden.

Per his request, no services are scheduled at this time, but a memorial service may be held in Wisconsin at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of the donorís choice.
