Rose I. Goetsch

Rose I. Goetsch, 92, of Watertown, entered eternal life Thursday, May 19, 2011. Rose was born Nov. 10, 1918, in the Town of Sullivan, to Benjamin Rabenhorst and L. May Altwies.
She married Walter Goetsch on May 29, 1943, in Oconomowoc. Rose taught school in Sullivan, serving as the principal, and taught fourth grade in Pewaukee. She was a former member of the First Baptist Church of Oconomowoc, having served on many state and local associations. She did mission work in Kodiak, Alaska, and with Retired Volunteers in Christ’s Service. She enjoyed playing the piano and square dancing. Rose was a member of the Watertown Moravian Church.
Rose is survived by her daughters, Nancy Frinzi (Mike Guenterberg), Sally (Ronald) Stocks of Oconomowoc and Betty (Dennis) Strecker of Golden, Colo. Rose is also survived by her sisters, Shirley Tiedjens of Florida and Alice Rabenhorst of Belgium; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
Rose was preceded in death by her husband Walter, two brothers and three sisters.
Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday, May 22, at the Schmidt & Bartelt Notbohm-Kreutzmann Funeral Home, 121 S. Cross St., Oconomowoc. Visitation continues from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral service Monday, May 23, at the Watertown Moravian Church, 510 Cole St., Watertown. Her final rest will be at River Road Cemetery.
