Marie S. Schubert

Marie S. Schubert (nee Scherzer) of Waukesha went home to the Lord at age 97 at the Virginia Health and Rehabilitation Center on Sunday, May 22, 2011.

Marie is the beloved mother of Barbara (Edward) Mindock of Sheboygan and Ellen (Wilmer) Wellstein of Waukesha and the beloved grandmother of Mark (Karie) Mindock of Kaukauna, Alan (Kristen) Mindock of North Hills, Calif., David Mindock of Sheboygan, Alane (the Rev. Mark) Kaesmeyer of Lake Geneva, Linda (David) Baumann of Theresa and Karen (Tim) Dallmann of Minnetonka, Minn. She is further survived by great-grandchildren Maralee, Emmalee and Jacob Mindock of Kaukauna, Alexander and Austin Mindock of North Hills, Calif., Ethan and Kalyn Mindock of Sheboygan, Jared, Clara, Aubrey Kaesmeyer of Lake Geneva and Benjamin Baumann of Theresa. Marie is also survived by one sister-in-law, many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence, in 1990; her brothers, George, Charles and John; her sisters, Eva, Rose, Emma and Margaret, and their spouses; and nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the 1 p.m. funeral service Thursday, May 26, at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1052 Whiterock Ave., Waukesha. Interment to follow at Union Cemetery in Slinger.

Marie was a member of Ladies Aid at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church. She loved to sew and traveled through the United States and Canada.

The family wishes to thank the nursing staff, aids and entire staff at the Virginia Health and Rehabilitation Center in Waukesha for their care of Marie. A special heart felt thank you to Dr. Martin Kern for his very special care of Marie.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorials to the church.
