Ethel B. Jansky, of Janesville, formerly of Waukesha, died on Friday, May 27, 2011, at Mercy Hospital and Trauma Center in Janesville at the age of 88. She was born in Chicago, Ill., on March 24, 1923, the daughter of Ernst and Nellie (nee LaRue) Keppler.

Ethel enjoyed her trips to Ho-Chunk, Diamond Jo’s and Djope’s casinos. She also had a great love for her nieces and nephews.

Ethel will be sadly missed by her sister Phyllis Briggs of Janesville, along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband Jacob "Jack" Jansky on Jan. 1, 1983; and her sisters, Ileane Glaeser and Lois Bruns; and brother, Ernie Keppler.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 1, 2011, from 11:30 a.m. until the noon funeral service at the Prairie Home Cemetery Chapel, 605 S. Prairie Ave., Waukesha. Burial will follow at the cemetery.
