Dawn Spelich Ewing

Dawn Spelich Ewing of Waukesha died unexpectedly Saturday, Nov. 5, 2011, at the age of 44. She was born Aug. 8, 1967, in Waukesha, the daughter of Thomas and Joan (nee Leitinger) Spelich.
She graduated from Waukesha North High School in 1985 and worked for First Weber Realty, H&R Block and Sobelman's restaurant in Milwaukee. Dawn enjoyed gardening and had a great love for animals and enjoyed feeding the squirrels and raccoons. She was a very proud mother and enjoyed being active in her children's school by volunteering for school field trips and class activities.
She will be forever missed by her husband, Randall Ewing of Waukesha; her children, Cpl. Erich Ewing of Twenty-nine Palms, Calif., and Kendall and Kennedy Ewing, both of Waukesha; her mother, Joan (the late Thomas) Spelich of Pewaukee; and her brother, Chad (Carrie) Spelich of Oconomowoc. She is further survived by her mother-in-law, Elaine Ewing of Waukesha; and brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas "Tom," on Dec. 6, 2008.
Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 11, at Randle-Dable-Brisk Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave., Waukesha. Services continue at the funeral home on Saturday, Nov. 12, at 9:45 a.m. for a procession to St. Joseph Catholic Church, 822 N. East Ave., Waukesha, for the 10:30 a.m. funeral Mass. The Rev. Bill Key will preside.
