James ‘Jim’ Robert Hamann

James "Jim" Robert Hamann of Greenfield died Friday, Sept. 30, 2011, at SouthPointe Health Care at the age of 77. He was born March 15, 1934, the son of James and Isabelle (Cawley) Hamann in Milwaukee.

He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church.

James will be deeply missed by his wife, Phyllis, whom he married Aug. 21, 1971; his daughter, Michelle "Shelly"; his brother, Dr. John (Stephanie) Hamann of River Falls; and his sisters, Sister Joan Hamann of Springfield, Ill., Jane Lancour of Irvine, Calif., and Jean Hamann of West Bend. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the noon Mass of Christian burial Wednesday, Oct. 5, at St. Mary Catholic Church, 225 S. Hartwell Ave., Waukesha. The Rev. Howard Haase will be officiating. The burial will immediately follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
