Stuart C. Fredenberg

Stuart C. Fredenberg, 85, of rural Eagle, passed away Friday, Oct. 7, 2011, at Waukesha Memorial Hospital.
Stuart was born July 6, 1926, to the late Clarence and Kathyl (Uphoff) Fredenberg in Madison. He retired after many years as the owner and operator of Fredenberg Service Station, which was across from A.O. Smith Corp.
Stuart was a proud veteran of the Marine Corps. He served in World War II, having participated in 11 landings and one sea battle in the South Pacific. He went to Washington, D.C., for the Stars and Stripes Honor Flight on Nov. 6, 2010. Stuart was a loving husband, devoted father and beloved grandfather. He will be deeply missed by all.
Stuart was the loving husband of 33 years to Gertrude "Trudy" Beck (Ridgeman) Fredenberg of Eagle; devoted father of Dawn (Greg) Harmes of Sunnyvale, Calif., and Kurt (Cindy) Fredenberg of Farmington; stepfather of Bill Beck, Stephanie (Steve) Tabat, Steven (Vicki) Beck and the late Wade (Sandi) Beck, all of Eagle; beloved grandfather of Alyson, Derek and Geoffrey Harmes, Kyla, Zack and Hannah Fredenberg, Ryan and Kyle Tabat and Olivia and Bill Beck; and good friend of the Ridgeman family in-laws, Liz, Thomas, Walter, Kenneth, Irene and the late Stanley.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Keith Fredenberg; two sisters, Darlene Kammers and Mary Wrobleski; and his grandchildren, Erin Fredenberg and Ashley Beck.
The family would like to thank the staff of Zablocki VA Medical Hospital and Waukesha Memorial Hospital for taking such great care of Stuart.
Per Stuartís request, no funeral services will be held. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
