Walter J. Ciombor Sr. of New Berlin died Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2011, at his home at the age of 86. He was born May 13, 1925, in Chicago, Ill., the son of Stanley and Kamilla (nee Mikrut) Ciombor.

He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II.

He will be sadly missed by his children, LeRoy (Kristine) Ciombor of Greenfield, Shirley (John) Orzechowski of New Berlin, Diane (Brian) Paff of Vernon, JoAnne (Mark) Miller of River Falls and Walter (Ann) Ciombor Jr. of Oak Creek. He was the dear grandfather of Michael (Kelly), Melissa (David), Sherri (John), Shawn (Katie), Tanya (Joshua), Justin (Elizabeth), Shamus, Travis, Sarah and Collin, and proud great-grandfather of Paige, Matthew, Devan, Kailey, Alayna, Britton, Bergen and Isabella. He is further survived by other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wives, Marcella Ciombor and Loyce Ciombor; sisters, Helen, Antoinette and Balbina; and his brother, Joseph.
