Harvey L. Freudenstein, 84, of Dousman, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2011, at Seasons Hospice in Waukesha.
Harvey was born Dec. 31, 1926, the son of the late Aldolf and Elsie Freudenstein. He was a member of the Siloam United Methodist Church and a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in World War II. Harvey was self-employed and spent many years being a "jack of all trades" as well as a caretaker for various cemeteries in the Dousman area. He enjoyed fishing and going to rummage sales and flea markets.
He was the beloved husband of 57 years to Shirley, cherished father of Edward (Kathy) of Palmyra and Richard (Susan) of Missouri, special grandfather to Ryan (Krystal) and Jason, along with four great grandchildren. Harvey was loved and will be remembered by other relatives and many dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Deborah; sisters, Mabel and Bertha; and brothers, Gordon and John.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 12:30 p.m. until the 1 p.m. memorial service Saturday, Sept. 10, at Siloam United Methodist Church, W104 Highway CI, Palmyra, with the Rev. Duane Goetsch officiating.
