Frank J. ‘Jerry’ Coquillard

Frank J. "Jerry" Coquillard of Waukesha died Friday, Sept. 2, 2011, at River Hills West Health Care Center at the age of 80. He was born in Detroit on Dec. 12, 1930, the son of Frank and Margaret (nee White) Coquillard.

He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1947 to 1950. Jerry earned two master’s degrees from Lake Forest College in Illinois in management and in business administration. He was a member of MENSA, the high IQ society. During his career, he worked for several companies/organizations, including the American Dental Association, Velsicol Chemical in Chicago, Health Insurance Association of America (HIAA) and the Foundation for Medical Care Evaluation (FMCE). He was a broker in real estate and in insurance. Preferring self-employment, Jerry started the company CareAmerica (performed review of hospital admissions and surgeries for self-insured employers), which he owned and operated for 19 years until he retired in 2003.

He will be sadly missed by his friend and caretaker, Janet Thielmann of Waukesha, and his children, Pam (Jim) Drafall of Juda, Chris (Lenise) Morcraft of Algonquin, Ill., Gerald (Cristen) Coquillard of Palo Alto, Calif., and Marlene Coquillard of Arlington Heights, Ill. He is further survived by three grandchildren; his sister, Nancy (Dale) Lange of Arizona; his brother, John Coquillard of Illinois; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Michelle "Missy," his mother, father and stepmother, Muriel Coquillard.

Visitation will be held from noon until the 2 p.m. funeral service Tuesday, Sept. 13, at Randle-Dable Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave., Waukesha. Interment will be at Prairie Home Cemetery.
