Mary E. Feuerstein

Dec. 8, 1931 – April 2, 2012


Mary E. Feuerstein of Pewaukee passed away at Waukesha Memorial Hospital on Monday, April 2, 2012, at the age of 80, following a battle with a chronic illness. She was born Dec. 8, 1931, in Green Bay, to the late Walter and Elsie Wagener. 

She graduated from Sturgeon Bay High School in 1949 and the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1953. In June 1954, she was united in marriage to Ronald Feuerstein in Sturgeon Bay. In 1961, Mary and Ron moved to Pewaukee, where they raised their family while Ron worked for Pewaukee public schools. Mary and her family lived in Pewaukee during the school year but continued to live in Sturgeon Bay for summers for the next 20 years. Mary was a member of Queen of Apostles (St. Mary’s) Catholic Church, where she was active in numerous church activities and programs. 

Mary is survived by her son, Michael, and his children, Gracyn and Dashiell; Paula and her children, Samuel and Alexander; and Martha and her children, Kevin, Katherine and Hannah. 

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the noon Mass of Christian burial Tuesday, April 10, at Queen of Apostles Catholic Church, N35-W23360 W. Capitol Drive, City of Pewaukee. Mary will be buried in St. Joseph’s Cemetery at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 11. Please meet at the cemetery. 

The family would like to extend a special thank you to all of the people who helped support Mary while she was ill. Your friendship was invaluable to us. 

Memorials in Mary’s name to the Great Blue Heron Girl Scout Council would be greatly appreciated by the family.
