Arthur F. ĎArtí Schmocker

Arthur F. ďArtĒ Schmocker, 83, entered eternal life Monday, April 9, 2012, at his home on the shores of Fox Lake.

Art was born Aug. 8, 1928, in Waukesha, the son of Arthur E. and Emily (Gygax) Schmocker.

He was the loving husband of Carol (nee Boeder) and the father of Ronald Sr. (Dawn), Richard (Kaye) and Robert (Kris).

Art served in the Army artillery in Korea from 1952 to 1954. He loved playing the accordion and was part of the Yuma Accordion Band for some time. He also loved fishing and watching the birds at their home on Fox Lake.

Besides his wife and children, he is further survived by grandchildren, Ronald Jr., Randy (Kelly), Justin, Ethan and Benjamin; stepchildren, Beth, Amanda and Kari; his great-grandchildren, Rheana and Ronald III; his step-great-grandchild, Emmi; his brothers, Gilbert, Philip (Eileen), Frank (Carol) and Ellis (Karen); one sister, Janet Perkins; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends.

Art worked many years at Waukesha Engine, finally retiring from Reynolds Machine in Muskego. After retiring, he and his wife moved to Fox Lake.

He was preceded him in death by his parents; one sister, Joyce; one brother-in-law, Royal Lurvey; one sister-inlaw, Janet Schmocker; and one brother-in-law, Robert Perkins.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 12, at St. Johnís Lutheran Church, 110 Edgelawn Drive, Fox Lake, with the Rev. David Nottling officiating.

Memorials may be directed to St. Johnís Lutheran Church in Fox Lake or a charity of your choice in Artís name.
