Robert ‘Bob’ J. Foley Sr.

Robert “Bob” J. Foley Sr., 74, of Loveland, Colo., passed away Saturday, April 7, 2012.
He was born in Washington, D.C., to Paul and Evelyn Foley on Dec. 10, 1937. Bob attended Catholic University, where he met his future wife, Ann. Bob and Ann were married Sept. 20, 1958, in Rochester, N.Y.
Bob lived in Wisconsin for 35 years, serving as an alderman for 11 of those years in Waukesha. He also was on the library board and St. Joseph’s Church Parish Council. He was the president of the Milwaukee Jaycees and belonged to the Knights of Columbus. Robert was a member of St. Joseph’s Parish.
Bob relocated from Wisconsin in 2006 and led a very active retired life in Loveland. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, and served on the boards of Hearts & Horses, LPAA and the Winter Holiday Council. He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Parish.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, as well as his three siblings, Jack, Bernie and Mary.
Robert is survived by his wife of 53 years, Ann, and his eight children, Robert Jr., Mary Kathryne (John) Norgord, Kevin (Diane), Margaret (Richard) Bohlin, Patrick (Nancy), Brian (Carolynn), Joanne (William) Kenny and Maureen. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, Kristin (Robbie) Veldhuisen, April Foley, Rebecca and Sarah Norgord, Sarah Foley, Alex and Mark Bohlin, Jade Foley, Robert and Carly Foxgrover-Foley, and Kathryn, Allyson and Sean Kenny; and one great-grandchild, David Veldhuisen.
The Memorial Mass to celebrate Robert’s life will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 13, at St. John the Evangelist Church in Loveland, with a rosary at 9:30 a.m. There will be a luncheon held in the community room in the lower level of the church directly after the Mass.
