Evora C. (Freitag) Krebs, 88, of Crystal Beach, Fla., passed away peacefully Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2012.

Evora was born in Farmington on April 1, 1923, to Alfred and Elizabeth Freitag. She lived in the Waukesha area for many years before moving to the Janesville area and lastly to Florida.

Evora enjoyed spending time with her family, reading and sitting on her patio, looking at her plants.

Evora was the loving mother of George Krebs of Janesville; Patricia (Arlin) Stidham of Floral City, Fla.; Karen Henning of Hawthorne, Fla.; and Joni Ames (Denis) of Crystal Beach, Fla. She was the proud grandmother of James (Lisa) Krebs of Janesville; Brian (Christy) Krebs of Woodlawn, Tenn.; Jacqueline Strain (Ernie) of Floral City; Michael (Caroline) Carter of Clearwater, Fla.; Jeremy (Angie) Minkey of Fort Wayne, Ind.; and Brent Minkey of Largo, Fla.; and great-grandmother to Andrew Krebs and Alex Krebs of Janesville; Madison Barger (Patrick) of Inverness, Fla.; Desiree Novak of Red Boiling Springs, Tenn.; Brandi (Joey) Pugh of Tarpon Springs, Fla.; Jacob Krebs and Emma Krebs of Woodlawn; Braxton Minkey and Harlow Minkey of Fort Wayne; Jackson Carter, Keenan Carter and Elly Carter of Clearwater; and great-great grandmother to Gregory Herman and Anastasia Herman of Inverness.
She is survived by her brother, Frank (Karen) Freitag, and sister, Marion Hoppe, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was predeceased by brothers Harlow and Russ Freitag and sisters Julia Shaffer and Annette Tomsyck.

The family will hold a graveside service at Prairie Home Cemetery at 1 p.m. Monday, April 23.
