William T. ‘Bill’ Bureta

Sept. 25, 1943 - July 15, 2012

William T. “Bill” Bureta of Brookfield was born to eternal life Sunday, July 15, 2012, in Naples, Fla., with his best friend and beloved wife, Caron (nee Gray), at his side. Bill was born Sept. 25, 1943, and grew up in Waukesha. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Betty and Norbert Bureta, and his brother, Jack. 

He is survived by his sister, Carol (Jay) Hargreaves, and many other relatives and friends. 

Bill attended Catholic Memorial High School and is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin. Bill proudly served his country as a member of the U.S. Air Force. For many years, Bill was into animal rescue. In recent years, he enjoyed taking care of the birds. He collected many birdhouses and bird feeders. St. Francis of Assisi was Bill’s favorite saint. The life size fountain in the garden is Bill’s tribute to St. Francis. 

Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the 11 a.m. Mass of Christian burial Friday, Aug. 3, at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 1755 N. Calhoun Road, Brookfield. Interment will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 6, at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Cemetery, Union Grove, with military honors.
