Jeannine Ann Fredricks
Feb. 23, 1951 – July 30, 2012Jeannine Ann Fredricks of East Troy died unexpectedly Monday, July 30, 2012, at Waukesha Memorial Hospital. Over the last year, she encountered many struggles, including multiple surgeries, hospitalizations, rehabs and other setbacks.
She had not been home since before Christmas and was looking forward to getting there in the next three to four weeks. Through it all, she demonstrated a tremendous amount of grace and dignity, as well as strength, faith and love. She was surrounded by her family, with her two loving sisters holding her hands, when she finally could not fight any longer and let go.
Born in Milwaukee, Feb. 23, 1951, to Charles and Gladys (nee Smith) Fredricks, Jeannine spent most of her life living in Oconomowoc, where she graduated from high school in 1970.
Jeannine is survived by her sisters, Carla (Tim) Niegelsen and Renee (Paul Jr.) Schultz; her nephew and godson, Joshua Niegelsen; great-nieces, Ciera and Sofia; her aunts, Irene Ladish and Carol Mueller; and many loving cousins, step-nieces and - nephews and lifelong friends.
Jeannine was preceded in death by both her father and mother and many aunts, uncles and two cousins.
Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until the 7 p.m. funeral service Tuesday, Aug. 7, at Church and Chapel Funeral Home, 380 Bluemound Road (at highways J and JJ, four blocks south of Interstate 94), Waukesha. Interment will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 8, at Prairie Home Cemetery, Waukesha.
