Michael Edward Staats

Michael “Mike” Staats, 57, of Lander Lane in Waukesha, died unexpectedly July 17, 2012, at his home. Born Jan. 22, 1955, in Merrill, Michael was the youngest of three children born to Edward and Hazel Ashbrenner Staats. 

Michael enjoyed outdoor activities such as golfing, fishing and hunting with guns and bow and arrows. Michael also enjoyed photography. He was an upstanding member of the community and was as well-respected as he was loved. 

Michael attended Marquette University in Milwaukee, after which he began working for GE Healthcare. A great accountant he was. 

Surviving is a sister, Linda M. (James) LaFrance of Adams; a nephew, Jason M. Reagan of Quincy, Ill.; a very good friend of the family, Michael W. Connors of Illinois; and cousins. 

Michael was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Mary; and an older nephew, Scott L. Reagan. 

There won’t be a funeral.
