Leonard A. 'Lenny' Mika

Leonard A. 'Lenny' Mika of King, formerly of Waukesha, passed away Friday, Aug. 24, 2012, at the age of 81. He was born May 28, 1931, in Chicago, the son of John and Sofie Mika.
Lenny married the love of his life, Georgiana (nee Stowasser), on June 26, 1987. He was a U.S. Army Veteran, serving in the Korean War. Lenny was very proud and meticulous when it can to raising his prize-winning African violets and tea roses. In his early years, Lenny enjoyed fishing in Canada, wood working, watching football and taking care of his two cats, Wilhelmina and Shadow. Most of all, Lenny was a very caring person and friend to Georgiana and everyone he met.
Lenny will be sadly missed by his wife of 25 years, Georgiana; brother-in-law, Lawrence (Elaine) Stowasser; and stepdaughter, Deanna 'Dee' (James) Hardrath. He is further survived by other family members and his friends at Wisconsin Veteran's Home in King.
Visitation for Lenny will be held from 5 p.m. until the 7 p.m. funeral service today, Aug. 28, with military honors to follow at the Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha. Private burial will take place at Prairie Home Cemetery.
